About
Hi, I'm Pulak Gaharwar, Certified Cognitive Philosopher
I wear a lot of hats - A musician, music therapist, an academician, a social worker. But my identity that has led to the conception of 'HealthyBrainwaves' is that of a service user and a person with lived experience. I have lived with drug-induced psychosis for a majority of my young adulthood and I have craved a good web-resource and an organic community of people who have had a shared experience of life, a virtual support group! This is my attempt to bring people with different mental illnesses together and raise their voices and make use of all the wonderful resources available online.
Resource Cloud
Here is what you will find within:

1) Resources on Mental Illnesses - Introductory videos on mental illnesses, TED Talks, Podcasts, Book recommendations

2) User group/forums - There is a dedicated forum for people with Bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia, etc., discussing and engaging on topics such as day-to-day difficulties, personal coping strategies, guilt-ridden/paranoid questions, recovery, medication etc.
3) Insanity in Creative Arts - There are so many artists, painters and musicians that have either explored mental illnesses and drug addiction through their artwork or themselves dealt with it. You will be surprised who you might find here!

4) Interpret your dreams - Have you been having intense dreams lately? Do you feel they have some symbolism and greater significance, were you able to interpret it? Were you able to uncover latent dream content....show us how sensei!
5) My Master's Thesis - With a lived experience of drug-induced psychosis and multiple relapses, I, now a researcher interview 6 other people with psychotic illnesses in - "The existential truth about the lived reality of psychotic individuals: Life through the lens of a psychotic Individual (An auto-ethnographic and phenomenological research)". I try to make psychosis comprehensible.

Can Opener
Can Opener is about feeling of alienation and disillusionment with the world. As if you, a 'can opener' is being handed out empty cans! You feel like humanity is dead and you don't want to be a part of any of this.
Music Medicine
Mamuli Chor
The song is about materialism and how what really matters is your mental health and self worth and not your material possessions...
IN SANE-INN
This is a track about self-harm, anhedonia and suicidal ideation. It's about being stuck in a place called 'Sane-inn'. This is the closest I can come to Radiohead.
